We can then arrange a meeting if it seems that Counselling or Psychotherapy might be helpful. At the present time the consultation will by via phone, FaceTime, Skype or Zoom.
(I do always reply to enquiries. There have been one or two occasions when my email reply has gone to a junk box. So if you ask for a reply by email and don't receive one it might be worth checking your spam/junk box.)
Because it is fundamentally important that a person feels comfortable with their therapist and confident that they can speak about whatever concerns they might have I usually suggest an initial single appointment will be the most helpful way to take things forward.
At this consultation we will talk through what has brought you to look for therapy at this point in your life and what you might be hoping for in the therapeutic process . You can have the opportunity to consider whether you would like to continue and we can reflect together about whether I am the most appropriate person to help you. Starting Counselling and Psychotherapy is a big decision and there can be much to discuss.
